On May 18, 1969, the Apollo 10 mission lifted off from Kennedy Space Center. In many ways a dress rehearsal for the Apollo 11 mission, astronauts Thomas Stafford, John Young and Gene Cernan did just about everything the later Apollo 11 astronauts would do except for actually landing on the moon.
