Survey teams confirmed the tornadoes touched down in suburban Chicago during a storm that flooded hundreds of basements.

Saturday looks sunny and mild in Chicago, but storms move back in Sunday and may linger through Wednesday. The weekend forecast has a clear favorite.

Rainfall isn't expected to be excessive and will clear up by Thursday ahead of warm temperatures in the 80s this weekend, according to NWS meteorologist Kevin Doom. "We're watch and warning free," Doom said.

Scattered storms with heavy rain and gusty winds are possible today before quieter weather returns Thursday and warmer temperatures arrive for the weekend.
